Since sometime now certain radical Hindu groups have started a new type of internet war on Islam and its Sacred Personalities. Many Muslims are feeling perturbed and confused about the appropriate response to this tirade, looking for fitting replies. We feel that there is no reason to worry or react in a negative manner. This type of situation gives us a perfect opportunity to communicate the message of Islam in an effective manner to our Hindu friends and do a thorough comparative study of both religions which will help the seekers of truth to arrive at the correct conclusions and it will protect naive Hindus and Muslims from being deceived by this propaganda.
When we engaged with these Hindu groups online, many a time we were told not to just rely on what Dr. Zakir Naik has been saying but do our own research of Hindu Scriptures. We took this suggestion seriously and decided to directly go to the sources of Hindus. Whatever we have discovered after a dispassionate study reaffirmed our faith in the truth of Islam.
This difference is so evident that no one can fail to notice it. One who sincerely makes a comparative study of both these religions will inevitably discover it i.e. Islam is the only choice for those who seek a religion with a credible historical base.
Hence to let others make the proper choice between Hinduism and Islam, we have decided to start this website

www.islamhinduism.com is a milestone in Islamic Dawah. The website is aimed at introducing Islam as it is to the Hindus, removing misconceptions about Islam and respond to attacks against Islam by some radical Hindu groups. All in all this site is aimed to be the hub for Hindu-Muslim dialogue and debate online.
OUR WORK
The core work of Islam & Hinduism Initiative centres on conducting research into different areas of Islam and Hinduism, and in educating the public through our articles. In the future though we aim to publicize our work through lectures, seminars and other publications.

What we believe?
We are Muslims, who profess the religion of Islam, from various societal backgrounds in the Muslim world. We are believers brought together by a great struggle, not between the Hinduism and Islam, but between the truth and falsehood.
We affirm the inviolable freedom of individual conscience tempered by the Qur’an and as-Sunnah. We believe in the equality of all human persons before the Shari’ah.
We affirm the observance of the universal Islamic human rights.
We find traditions of liberty, rationality, and tolerance in the rich histories of the Islamic world and Islamic societies.
We see colonialism, racism, and Islamophobia exist when Islamic practices are subjected to intense insult, ridicule or perjury, when it is clear they do not violate human reason or rights.
We call on the governments of the Muslim world to:
- eliminate un-Islamic practices such as female genital mutilation, honour killings, forced veiling, and forced marriages that furthers the oppression of Muslim women;
- reform the religious education system by introducing comparative religion studies as a component subject so that it can be utilized as a tool for da’wah and outreach towards non-Muslims;
- foster an open public sphere in which all matters related to the above may be discussed without coercion or intimidation.
We enjoin academics and thinkers everywhere to embark on a fearless defense of the origins and sources of Islam, and to promulgate the ideals of Islamic philosophy and thought through cross-cultural translation, publishing, and the mass media.
